The album title mentions one of his songs: a tribute about the struggle of women demanding equal rights and opportunities.
It is a different from the previous album by its diversity of genres and loudness. You could say that, on this album, Claudia Levy displays his creativity more freely, without being tied to any particular style without losing his trademark.
It contains two tangos- one of them with typical irony Levy; songs with an air of folklore; rock; blues; an air of cumbia and an instrumental played by Claudia in piano solo.
The lyrics of this album cover different topics ranging from love happiness, the announcement of death, gender violence, the poetics of river, the night wandering the streets of Buenos Aires, and the struggle of women for equality.
In the disc there is a huge amount of talented musicians: Franco Luciani; Alejandro Oliva (director Time Bomb); Juan Pablo Navarro; Martín González Puig , among others.
The album is produced, arranged and mixed by Mariano Augustine Fernandez and mastered by Andrés Mayo (both winners of a prize Carlos Gardel 2019) except the tango "The jet Corner", arranged by José Teixidó, and played by musicians Amores Tangos.
About Claudia Levy
Claudia Levy was born in Bs. As. He began his musical studies from very young. After training as a classical pianist at the Conservatory A. Williams, and studying chamber music with Monica Cosachov , he joined the School of Popular Music of Avellaneda to specialize in Tango. He was formed as parallel singer Nora Faiman, Lorena Astudillo and Noelia Moncada, among other.
In the decade of the 90 formed duo "Tangachas" with Clori Gatti, with whom he made the show "Give me your heaven" directed by Claudia Hochman. Then continued the duo, Dolores Solá. At the beginning of the 2000 He is dedicated to his solo career, and assumes his new role as a singer and songwriter.
The musical style of his early tangos sung recalls the '20 or '30 decade, but his lyrics have a very current component, a feminine look and a great deal of irony and humor. This was reflected in his first CD "Tangos own and others' (1998). At the end of the year 2004 released their second CD "listen for a second".
He received 4 Awards National Endowment for the Arts for two tangos of his own, milonga and waltz one. (2005 Y 2007). On their third album "cast off" (2010), It incorporates own compositions with air of folklore.
He was part of the group "Circulo de Brujas" created by Lorena Astudillo and with Dorita Chavez, Cecilia Gauna y Paola Gamberale. I believe, with her daughter – visual artist Mayra Moon- el.espectáculo multimedia: "Mergers: mother and daughter".
He made six solo tours in Europe, appearing in: Spain, France, Portugal, Germany, Finland, Belgium and the Netherlands. He participated in numerous international festivals of Tango and Tango World Summits: Sevilla, Granada, Seinajöki, Buenos Aires, Bariloche, Valparaiso and Zárate. Currently it belongs to the group Tango female.
