"The Cachivache formed ago 10 years when the two founding members, which they are Argentine, They are living in Spain. They met there and started playing tango to meet this European circuit tango. In 2013 They are installed in Buenos Aires which is where I know him and begin to integrate the group. From there we started doing tours all year months from Europe to the United States, increasingly long and increasingly rare countries ". Pacha Mendes summarized the history of El Cachivache Quintet, tango fusion band which is five years ago contrabajista.
Five musicians and toured 48 countries and 950 cities gave its modern tango, will arrive next weekend for the first time in Neuquén.
It will be to participate in the Milonguero Summer Meeting to be held from Wednesday to Saturday at the Social Club (Lastra 150) Neuquen.
"We're going to play the two most important nights. Our proposal is modern tango, more aggiornado, rockier but without losing the most important thing in these cases is music to dance ", He began by describing the musician born and raised in Neuquen, who in the 2000 undertook trip to study in Buenos Aires.
"We are all musicians who come from different styles, mainly rock. Some were playing heavy metal, other punk, other pop ", Mendes explained. And I add: "We Argentines musicians often happens with age and experience ended up in the tango".
"It's the music that brings us together and is where all find the pleasures of the other music in our", was sincere Pacha, which he departed from Neuquén with the idea of training as a lawyer but ended up choosing the path of music again and managed to devote himself as a modern tanguero.
It's that Cachivache Quintet, with their 10 years of life, He has traveled all over the world achieving great relevance in the world of the milongas.
Make tango getting out of the molds is somewhat risky, Of course.
But the experience of the group complete Vito Venturino (guitar), Pablo Montanelli (piano), Adriano De Vita (bandoneón) and Bruno Giuntini (fiddle) is outstanding and demonstrates that, sometimes, worth breaking schemes.
"In Argentina and the world have the same reaction tangueros, first they think like us and then when they dance love ", musician confided on the style they perform and how it affects the public.
And he detailed: "The first thing that happens is that with untraditional image having people band generates a little idea that's not going to be good, and then when listening to live music or dancing to our music realizes that the root is the same and you end up liking ",
But tangueros Purebred are not its only public. He is Cachivache has a strong visual presence of the hand of the best MTV video clips style with conquering those who enjoy listening to music and also those who see the Buenos Aires group as a "rarity Argentina".
"We introduced the video format roquero, type MTV, to the tango and the appearance of the group is that of a rock band and the lifestyle that we have is that of a rock band, because we larguísimas tours, managing worldwide. It's like we're a rock band but what we do is going to play tango ", bassist confessed. Anyway, audiovisual initiative of these singular tangueros not die in video clips of their songs.
Two years ago they found filming a documentary about the band and their tours. And that's what also brings Neuquén. They come with Diego Tomasevic, his producer and audiovisual.
But nevertheless, to see the film will have to wait, therefore they estimate that will be completed in November, after shooting his way through Europe, in May, and Russia and East, in September.
"The film I think it will be ready in mid-November because this year we have three tours one in May, one in July and one in September, two are in Europe and September starts with Russia and going to East, we have not confirmed but the idea is to go to Central Asia and Southeast Asia, then we want to finish the film with that part of the world so little explored ", He explained the musician who took his first steps in the High School of Music in Neuquén.
