Argentine pianist Exequiel Mantega and Diego Schissi, who will participate in the concert Stefano Bollani offered in Buenos Aires, They analyzed how the tango -the aesthetic that formed- articulates with the symphonic form and reflected on the possibility of deepening this mixture.
“The tango, although it has one leg in the European tradition, has the problem of how massive that even the broadest format, Typical Orchestra, It is something guy. How do you put according to all the musicians of an orchestra playing a musical turning in the same way? It costs four musicians, so it's easy to imagine how difficult it is to 56, as we will do in the Teatro Coliseo”, planteó Schissi.
“There have been experiences in symphonic tango format and is a door that can still open and develop more”, Mantega said.
The two Argentine pianists will be part of the concert given on Wednesday Bollani: Mantega will lead the Orchestra Sin Fin, of which the Italian will be the soloist; while Schissi will play tangos themselves and others under their unique arrangements, with a similar accompaniment to a'Big Band'.
The program will include tangos “Revirao” (Astor Piazzolla), “Uruguay” (Diego Schissi), “Your pale voice” (Homero Manzi) Y “A Don Agustin Bardi” (Horacio Salgán).
“Bollani is an incredible pianist. I was lucky to play with him and it makes you play like never touched in your life”, afirmó Schissi.
“Pianistically solves everything you tirás. There is no difficulty that you can put on paper. Has all the baggage needed to resolve all situations. It is worn to 60 musicians. The feeling of playing with it is that there is little limit. Who can play in the language you want”, Mantega concluded. (Telam)
