On the day of the 99th anniversary of the birth of Astor Piazzolla, and theWomen's Month, five outstanding performers offer a concert with works by the great bandoneonist, Argentine composer and conductor. the bandoneonistaEleonoraFerreyra and the string quartet made up ofLucia HerreraYJulieta Glasses on violins, Sophie lüssi on viola andPaula Pomeraniec they play the suite on celloFive tango sensations (original for this formation), Four for tango for string quartet, and arrangements ofAngel tango YThe death of the angel.

Tickets are free and can be reserved from Thursday 5 March at 12 through this page or personally, until capacity of the room (maximum two tickets per person). About Eleonora Ferreyra

Eleonora Ferreyra began his bandoneon studies in 1984 at the Avellaneda School of Popular Music, in which he trained with the teachers Daniel Binelli, Orlando Tripod, Rodolfo Mederos and Aníbal Arias, among others, and was perfected with Julio Pane and Néstor Marconi. In 1991 made his first tour of Italy and France as a member of Gustavo Mozzi's River Plate music sextet. With the Las Tangueras quartet, of which she is founder, toured Japan, Sweden, Germany, USA, Brazil, Chile and Mexico, and recorded three discs. He was a member of the Mariano Mores orchestras, Julián Plaza, Daniel Binelli and Roberto Pansera, the stable orchestra ofTango Gala (The Querandí, Buenos Aires) and the Sans Soucí orchestra. He performed as a solo bandoneon in shows with Nacha Guevara, Susana Rinaldi and Sandra Mihanovich. He was part of the cast ofGlamourtango, with performances in San Francisco, New York, Chicago, Colombia, Mexico, Uruguay and China. He was a soloist in the suiteFive Tango Sensations Astor Piazzolla (Villa La Angostura, 2003); atOratory to Eva Perón, composed and directed by José Luis Castiñeira de Dios (with the Tucumán Symphony Orchestra, 2005); atHomage to Liège (double concerto for bandoneon, guitar and string orchestra) Astor Piazzolla (La Plata and Bahia Blanca, 2008); and in the tribute program to Piazzolla with the Orchestra of the University of Cuyo (Mendoza, 2017). Since 2010 He is part of the Máximo Pujol Trío. He will soon perform the double concert for bandoneon, guitar and string orchestra by Máximo Pujol in Germany and Belgium. As a member of various musical groups, It was presented in the main halls of this city and throughout the country. During the cycle 2019 He was a member of the Stable Orchestra ofLa Hora del Tango, Public TV program recorded at the Kirchner Cultural Center. For some time he has dedicated himself to researching Argentine folk music and the recovery of the traditional repertoire for bandoneon..

About Julieta Bril

Julieta Glassesbegan his violin studies at the Conservatory of the City of Buenos Aires. Later he continued to perfect himself in a particular way with José Bondar, Daniel Robuschi,  Marta Roca and Sergio Polizzi. He has been a member of the Academic Orchestra of the Teatro Colón, the Chamber Orchestra of the municipality of Lanús, the Camerata Ridolfi and the Camerata Bellisomi among others. Participated in master classes in Argentina and Brazil taught by Jorg Heyer, Ingrid Zür, Kees Hulsmann y Philippe Aiche. She has been a fellow of the 40 Campos do Jordão International Festival (Brazil), the projectMasterclass 2008(Buenos Aires, Goethe Institute), and seminars of the Camping Musical Bariloche by Mónica Cosachov. He performed as a soloist with the Chamber Orchestra of the National Congress at the Colegio Nacional de Mercedes Auditorium and the Caleta Olivia Cultural Center (Santa Cruz), and with other groups in the Aula Magna of the Faculty of Law, Golden Hall of the Porteña Legislature and Astor Piazzolla Auditorium of the House of the Province of Buenos Aires among others. It is called regularly by different orchestral groups to perform concerts in the most important halls of the country, including the Teatro Colón, the Kirchner Cultural Center and Usina del Arte, among other. He is currently a member of the Chamber Orchestra of the National Congress.

About Lucía Herrera

Lucia Herrera was born in Buenos Aires in 1987. He was trained with Cristina Monasterolo, Pablo Saravi,  Oleg Pishenin and Rolando Prusak. He studied at the Conservatory of the City of Buenos Aires and at the National University of Lanús. He has attended advanced classes in Argentina and France with the violinist Virginie Robilliard. In 2011 Y 2014 participated in the Santa Catarina Music Festival (South jaragua, Brazil), and in 2014 traveled to Germany after being selected as a member of the Schleswig Holstein festival orchestra. He reached the position of concertmaster in the Student Orchestra of Buenos Aires, the Youth Orchestra of National Radio and the Academic Orchestra of Buenos Aires, where she has subsequently served as a string instructor and soloist. Since 2006 member of the Buenos Aires Philharmonic Orchestra. He has performed as a soloist together with the Academic Orchestra of Buenos Aires, the Municipal Symphony Orchestra of Florencio Varela, the Symphonic Ensemble 21, the Youth Orchestra of the Center and the Youth Orchestra of the Faculty of Medicine (UBA), and in 2018 with the Buenos Aires Philharmonic Orchestra. As a member of chamber music groups, offered concerts in different halls of the country, and currently he is a member of a violin and piano duo with pianist Carlos Brítez, the Zoltán Duo with the cellist Clément Silly and the Imago string quartet, formed by members of the main orchestras of Buenos Aires.

About Sophie Lüssi

The violinist, Swiss-Argentine violist and composerSophie lüssi studied at the Zürich School of Art, (ZHDK) Jazz violin with Daniel Schenker and Pierre Blanchard. He continued perfecting his composition with Daniel Montes in Buenos Aires. Lives in Argentina and Switzerland. Participate in different jazz projects, tango and classical music; He is a violist in the Leonardo Ferreyra Tango String Quartet and a violinist in Swing de Paris. Of 2014 al 2016 He was a violist in the Buenos Aires Philharmonic Orchestra. He regularly conducts Jazz workshops for strings in Argentina and Switzerland. She teaches Violin Jazz at the Avellaneda School of Popular Music. In 2016 founded the San Andrés Orquesta Escuela de Jazz para Cuerdas. In search of new sounds and formations for the violin in jazz, founded in 2006 the Sophie Lüssi String Trio and String Quartet and the Sophie Lüssi Quartett and Quintet, with whom he plays his compositions. In 2015 premiered his workAmapala for chamber orchestra, jazz woods and violin soloist with the Zuger Sinfonietta, en train, Switzerland.

About Paula Pomeraniec

Paula Pomeraniec He was born in the City of Buenos Aires and began his studies in Mar del Plata. He was formed with Jorge Otero, Maria Eugenia Castro, Claudio Baraviera and Sviatoslav Poloudine. She is a graduate of the cello teaching staff at the "Juan José Castro" Conservatory, where he studied with André Mouroux and the "Emilio Balcarce" Tango School Orchestra. He participated in concerts with Martha Argerich and in courses and master classes with Kurt Masur, Charles Dutoit, Washington Castro, Eduardo Vassallo and Stanimir Todorov, among others. He was a member of the Colón Theater Academic Orchestra as a soloist, and the orchestras of the Universidad Católica Argentina, Municipal de Mar del Plata, Philharmonic of Buenos Aires, Stable of the Colón Theater, Tango Orchestra of Buenos Aires. During 2013 he performed as a soloist in the Argentine Music Orchestra "Juan de Dios Filiberto". He is currently a soloist substitute for the Chamber Orchestra of the National Congress and a member of various tango and popular music groups with artists such as Diego Schissi., Juan Pablo Navarro, Lidia Borda, Lito Vitale and Juan Carlos Baglietto.
